Soccer Game Preview: Santa Rosa vs. San Rafael

After a short break, it's finally time for some more action. The Santa Rosa Panthers will hit the road for the first time this season to challenge the San Rafael Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Back in December of 2024, it was close, but Santa Rosa sidestepped Novato for a 2-1 win.

Meanwhile, San Rafael had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5 goals) and they went ahead and made it three two weeks ago. Their defense stepped up to hand the Red Devils a 6-0 shutout. The Bulldogs' defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last three contests.

San Rafael's victory bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Santa Rosa, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Santa Rosa came up short against San Rafael when the teams last played back in December of 2023, falling 2-0. Can Santa Rosa avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
