Basketball Recap: Medora Takes a Loss

Medora and Orleans squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Medora had to settle for second. They took a blow against the Orleans Bulldogs, falling 65-25. The defeat continues a trend for the Hornets in their meetings with the Bulldogs: they've now lost nine in a row.

Despite the loss, Medora still got an impressive performance from Damian Salas, who went 6-for-11 en route to 15 points. Salas is also on a roll when it comes to three-point shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last five games he's played.

Orleans got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Alex DeWitt out in front who shot 67% from the field to rack up 18 points. Another player making a difference was Rylan Crocker, who went 5-for-7 on his way to 17 points.

Medora's loss dropped their record down to 14-9. As for Orleans, they are on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 16 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-4 record this season.

Medora does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Orleans, they will take on Loogootee at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
