Glascock County had won three straight on the road, but on Friday they bumped their record up to 12-12 to make it four. They never let the Briarwood Academy Buccaneers get on the board and left with a 5-0 victory. This was a revenge game for the Panthers: when they faced off against the Buccaneers on Monday, they had to take a 8-3 loss.
As for Briarwood Academy, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-10. The shutout was out of character for they seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in March.
For Briarwood Academy's part, Blake Tench put in work no matter where he played. He pitched five innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits. Tench has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.
