Basketball Recap: Taft Comes Up Short

Taft was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They came up short against the Cleveland Cavaliers, falling 44-21. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Toreadors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 43-31 back in January.

Taft's defeat dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Cleveland, their victory bumped their record up to 7-14.

Taft didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 25-17 loss against West Ranch on the 1st. As for Cleveland, they will be playing at home against El Camino Real at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. El Camino Real knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past five contests -- so hopefully Cleveland likes a good challenge.
