Preview: Bedford Bisons vs. Forest Hills Rangers
Bedford is 2-8 against Forest Hills since February of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Bedford Bisons will be home for the holidays to greet the Forest Hills Rangers at 7:15 p.m. Bedford will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings (they are ranked 290th, while Forest Hills is ranked 19th).
Last Friday, Bedford came up short against Chestnut Ridge and fell 39-28. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Bedford has scored all season.
Bedford's defeat came about despite a quality game from Autumn Becker, who scored 14 points. Those 14 points set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Katie Mcdevitt, who scored seven points.
Meanwhile, Forest Hills didn't have too much trouble with Westmont Hilltop at home on Friday as they won 52-38. The win made it back-to-back wins for Forest Hills.
This is the second loss in a row for Bedford and nudges their season record down to 2-4. As for Forest Hills, they pushed their record up to 6-1 with that victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.
Bedford was dealt a bruising 52-21 loss at the hands of Forest Hills in their previous meeting back in January. The matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point Bedford was down 39-12.
