Portola has no trouble against Burney

The Portola Tigers won the last time they faced the Burney Raiders, and things went their way on Friday too. Portola took down Burney 44-29. The win made it back-to-back wins for Portola.

When it comes to explaining why Burney lost, one person who can't be blamed is Diana Gonzalez Green. Despite the final result, she scored nine points along with six rebounds. Gonzalez Green continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played.

The victory got Portola back to even at 11-11. As for Burney, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Portola will challenge Quincy at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Quincy will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive. As for Burney, they will head out on the road to take on Chester at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Chester is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.
