Basketball Recap: Madison Meabon's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Pine-Richland over Baldwin

Pine-Richland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a 61-44 bruising from the Baldwin Highlanders. If the Rams were looking for revenge after losing 59-36 to the Highlanders when the teams met back in December of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Pine-Richland lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Madison Meabon, who posted nine points. Catherine Gentile was another key player, putting up 15 points in addition to seven rebounds and three steals.

Pine-Richland's loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Pine-Richland didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 64-41 defeat against Peters Township on the 6th. Baldwin has also already played their next game (against Upper St. Clair), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
