Recap: California Condors vs. El Rancho Dons

There's no place like home for the California Condors, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Wednesday. They took their match at home on Friday with ease, bagging a 63-22 win over El Rancho. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win California has managed all season.

Despite the defeat, El Rancho saw an underclassman step up: Emery Riker dropped a double-double on ten points and 14 rebounds. That was a full 45.5% of El Rancho's points, marking the sixth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.

Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, El Rancho struggled to work together and finished the game with only two assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.

California's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-8. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.4 points per game. As for El Rancho, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 13-11.

Coincidentally, California and El Rancho will both be playing Whittier the next time they take the court. California will head out to face Whittier at 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday, while El Rancho will host them at 5:15 p.m. on Friday.
