Softball Recap: Interstate 35 Beats Centerville for Their Second Straight Victory

Interstate 35 barely beat Centerville the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Roadrunners never let the Big Reds/Redettes get on the board and left with an 8-0 win on Saturday. Considering the Roadrunners have won six contests by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

The victory made it two in a row for Interstate 35 and bumps their season record up to 10-8. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.5 runs over those games. As for Centerville, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 16-10.

Interstate 35 does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Centerville, they are taking a road trip to face off against Clarinda on Thursday.
