Football Game Preview: Civic Memorial Eagles vs. Highland Bulldogs + How To Watch

Civic Memorial is 0-10 against Highland since October of 2015 but things could change on Friday. The Eagles will be playing at home against the Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Civic Memorial is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against Waterloo on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Eagles were dealt a 49-20 defeat at the hands of the Bulldogs. The Eagles were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-13.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Parker Parnell, who picked up 79 receiving yards and a pair of TDs. Another signal caller making a difference was Luke Clouser, who threw for 142 yards and two touchdowns.

Meanwhile, Highland came up short against Triad on Friday, falling 42-22. The Bulldogs were down 42-14 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Civic Memorial will have to contain Blake Gelly as he made an impact in Highland's last game. He threw for 75 yards and a pair of TDs while completing 77.8% of his passes, and also rushed for 40 yards.

Civic Memorial's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Highland, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.
