Baseball Game Preview: Hebron Christian Lions vs. King's Ridge Christian Tigers

A feisty cat fight will be fought as the Lions challenge the Tigers at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Hebron Christian gave up the first runs on Saturday, but they didn't let that get them down. They walked away with an 8-4 win over Providence Christian Academy.

Thomas Stallworth was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. That's the fewest hits he has allowed since back in February of 2024. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. What's more, he posted two hits, the most he's had since back in March of 2024.

In other batting news, Dean Livingston was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. He has become a key player for Hebron Christian: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 0-3 otherwise. Barrett Bruce also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Meanwhile, King's Ridge Christian got the win against The King's Academy on Saturday by a conclusive 10-4. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Tigers.

King's Ridge Christian now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Hebron Christian, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.

Hebron Christian came up short against King's Ridge Christian in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, falling 10-5. Can Hebron Christian avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
