Football Recap: Creekview Takes a Loss + How To Watch

After flying high against Adams last Thursday, Creekview came back down to earth. The Mustangs had to suffer through a 53-21 loss at the hands of the West Mesquite Wranglers. The Mustangs were not able to make up for their loss to the Wranglers from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

Creekview's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ahmari Washington, who picked up 91 receiving yards and two TDs. Cason Garcia was another key passer, throwing for 284 yards and three touchdowns.

Having lost for the first time this season, Creekview fell to 8-1. As for West Mesquite, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-1.

Coincidentally, Creekview and West Mesquite will both be playing Newman Smith the next time they take the field. The Wranglers will host the Trojans at 7:00 p.m. on the 31st, while the Mustangs will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on November 7.
