Soccer Recap: Lowndes Takes a Loss

While the 2-2 score might suggest a draw, it was the Pierce County Bears who were credited with the win on Tuesday. The Pierce County Bears got it done in the shootout by posting one goals to the Lowndes Vikings's zero. The Vikings have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Joseph Rudolphi and Louis Beavers scored both of Lowndes' goals, bringing their combined season tally to ten goals.

Lowndes' defeat dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Pierce County, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-1.

Lowndes and Pierce County should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings. Lowndes (ranked 42nd) will meet LaGrange (ranked 135th) at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Similarly, Pierce County will square off against Crisp County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday up 85 places (24 vs. 109).
