Volleyball Recap: Flour Bluff Snags Ninth Win in Last 11 Games

Flour Bluff picked up another tournament win on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Glenn Grizzlies 2-1.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Flour Bluff who won the one that mattered. The final score came out to 25-19, 21-25, 25-15.

Alyssa Thornton paced Flour Bluff's offense, picking up 15 kills. Thornton got some help from Lola Fisher and her 25 assists.

Flour Bluff is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-6 record this season. As for Glenn, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-11.

Coming up, Flour Bluff will take on Corpus Christi Moody at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Glenn, they will be taking part in a tournament against Jenks at 1:45 p.m. on Friday.
