Basketball Recap: Downey Vikings vs. Warren Bears
Make it ten blowout wins for the Downey Vikings this season. They claimed a resounding 66-30 win over Warren on the road. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 31-8.
It was another big night for Symantha Barnett, who scored 13 points along with eight rebounds and six steals. She continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Olivia Vaughn was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with five steals.
Downey is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine games, which provided a massive bump to their 16-12 record this season. As for Warren, they are on a eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-15.
Downey does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Warren also has no future games currently scheduled.
