Basketball Recap: Capistrano Valley's Win Ends Seven-Game Losing Streak on the Road

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Oxford Academy, Capistrano Valley was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Saddleback Roadrunners, sneaking past 23-21. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Cougars as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Capistrano Valley's win ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-6. As for Saddleback, they dropped their record down to 1-7 with the loss, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Capistrano Valley won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Rancho Alamitos at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Capistrano Valley's offense hasn't had much luck over their past four matchups, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around. As for Saddleback, they will also get right back to it: they'll challenge Lakeside at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
