Basketball Recap: East Forest Comes Up Short

East Forest was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were beaten by the Redbank Valley Bulldogs 66-9. While losing is never fun, the Bears can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 707th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 101st).

Redbank Valley was led to victory by Adyson Bond and Mylee Harmon. Bond went 11 of 16 on her way to 24 points and seven steals, while Harmon dropped a double-double on 22 points and ten assists. Harmon has been hot for a while, having posted 15 or more points the last 24 times she's played. Another player making a difference was Kira Bonanno, who posted six points along with 12 boards and five steals.

East Forest's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Redbank Valley, they pushed their record up to 13-4 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home.

East Forest will head out to challenge Moniteau at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Redbank Valley, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 71-58 loss against Mercyhurst Prep on the 25th.
