South Fayette had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They put the hurt on the Chartiers Valley Colts with a sharp 38-15 victory on Friday. The win continues a trend for the Lions in their matchups with the Colts: they've now won five in a row.

South Fayette's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Bo Stover, who rushed for 59 yards and three touchdowns on only seven carries. The team also got some help courtesy of Aayden Wright, who rushed for 82 yards and one TD on only six carries.

South Fayette didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Ray Schuler and Alex Deanes.

Coming up, South Fayette will head out to square off against Shaler Area at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Chartiers Valley, they will be playing at home against West Allegheny at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
