Preview: Victory Christian Lions vs. Alabama School for the Deaf Silent Warriors

Victory Christian has been on the road for three straight, but on Thursday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Alabama School for the Deaf Silent Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Victory Christian knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past eight games -- so hopefully Alabama School for the Deaf likes a good challenge.

Victory Christian has not had much luck with Westminster School at Oak Mountain recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.

Victory Christian's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of William Wilson-Hueter, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 15 rebounds, and Peyton Scott who scored 21 points along with 9 rebounds. Scott scored a full 36.8% of Victory Christian's points, the fifth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Caleb Wilson, who scored 7 points along with 6 rebounds.

Meanwhile, Alabama School for the Deaf's recent rough patch got a bit rougher two weeks ago after their third straight loss. They took a serious blow against Jacksonville Christian Academy, falling 70-30.

Victory Christian didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Alabama School for the Deaf in their previous matchup back in December of 2022, but they still walked away with a 57-52 victory. Will Victory Christian repeat their success, or does Alabama School for the Deaf have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
