It's playoff time, and Hesston had no trouble coming through when it counted. They claimed a resounding 35-0 win over the Trinity Academy Knights. The victory continues a trend for the Swathers in their matchups with the Knights: they've now won seven in a row.

It was another big night for Blayne Wilson, who rushed for 176 yards and three scores on only 14 carries. His longest rush was for an incredible 96 yards. Daxon Deering did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 87 receiving yards.

Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Hesston proved: they limited Trinity Academy to a paltry -0.3 yards per carry. The team can thank Kason Landes for the heroic effort on defense: he. Hesston didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 9.9.

Hesston didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Jamison Drew Kohl, Eli Haug, and Gavin Larson picked up one apiece. Larson got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Hesston's record now sits at 6-3. As for Trinity Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-5 record this season.

Hesston will challenge Rock Creek on Friday. The Swathers will need to watch out since the Mustangs have now posted at least 31 points in their last five matchups. Trinity Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
