Basketball Recap: Williamson Snaps Four-Game Streak of Losses at Home

After losing to North Penn-Liberty the last time they met, Williamson decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Williamson Warriors walked away with a 38-25 victory over the North Penn-Liberty Mountie on Tuesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Warriors.

Williamson got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Kenna Thomas out in front who posted ten points and six boards. Another player making a difference was Maddy Jones, who earned nine points in addition to six rebounds and five assists.

Williamson smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in three consecutive matches.

North Penn-Liberty's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Haley Litzelman, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 19 boards, and Kaylee Graham, who almost dropped a double-double on ten points and nine rebounds. That was a full 44% of North Penn-Liberty's points, marking the third time in a row she's had more than a third of the team's points.

Williamson's victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-12. As for North Penn-Liberty, their loss dropped their record down to 8-12.
