Basketball Recap: Selinsgrove Seals vs. Lewisburg Green Dragons
The Selinsgrove Seals's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their eighth straight loss. They took a 37-27 hit to the loss column at the hands of Lewisburg. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Selinsgrove in their matchups with the Green Dragons: they've now lost four in a row.
Several Seals players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Natalie Howell, who scored eight points along with five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Erika Piepszowski, who scored five points along with six rebounds.
Selinsgrove has traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last 11 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-15 record this season. As for Lewisburg, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-7.
Selinsgrove will stay at home for another game and welcome the Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on February 2nd. As for Lewisburg, they will head out on the road to square off against the Ironmen at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
