Basketball Recap: Conneaut Area Comes Up Short

It was a good run, but Conneaut Area unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Monday. They might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting the Seneca Bobcats an easy 60-36 win. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Eagles have suffered since December 23, 2024.

Conneaut Area's loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Seneca, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 7-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Conneaut Area will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Sharon at 7:00 p.m. on January 5, 2026. Seneca and General McLane will round out the year against one another at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Bobcats will be up against the Lancers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 50.25 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
