It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Gardena Panthers had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They walked away with a 49-41 win over the Lancers. Winning may never get old, but Gardena sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.

Gardena was led to victory by India Cage and Lauren Tobin-Williams. Cage scored 12 points along with eight rebounds and five steals, while Tobin-Williams scored 15 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. It was the first time this season that Cage pulled down eight or more rebounds. Another player making a difference was Saniya Keyes, who scored four points along with six rebounds and three blocks.

Grant's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Valeria Vega, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 11 rebounds, and Natalie Quinones who scored 13 points along with two steals.

Gardena's win bumped their record up to 15-9. As for Grant, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-15.

Gardena will take on Fremont at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Gardena focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 on Saturday. Grant does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
