Basketball Recap: Rochester Takes a Loss

Rochester was the 51-41 winner over Hopewell when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Rochester Rams were outmatched by the Hopewell Vikings and fell 63-33. The contest marked the Rams' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Hopewell's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Alyssa Spang, who went 10 for 16 en route to 24 points and eight rebounds. What's more, Spang also racked up three assists, the most she's had since back in December of 2023. Another player making a difference was Caylee Sundy, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 boards.

Rochester's defeat dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Hopewell, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-12.

Rochester didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 66-51 loss against Neshannock on the 3rd. As for Hopewell, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 50-33 win against Lincoln Park Performing Arts on the 4th.
