Football Recap: St. John's/Tipton Catholic Comes Up Short

St. John's/Tipton Catholic lost against Thunder Ridge back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Blujays were dealt a 76-48 defeat at the hands of the Longhorns. The Blujays were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 56-26.

St. John's/Tipton Catholic lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Kaden Phillips, who picked up 100 receiving yards and two scores, and also punched in one touchdown on the ground. Brooks Dunstan was another key player, throwing for 147 yards and four TDs.

Special teams was a major factor in the game for St. John's/Tipton Catholic, racking up 18 points in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Phillips, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.

This is the second loss in a row for St. John's/Tipton Catholic and nudges their season record down to 2-4. As for Thunder Ridge, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-4.
