There's no place like home for Adams Central, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. Everything went their way against the Lexington Minutemen on Tuesday as they made off with a 14-1 victory. The Patriots haven't had any issues with the Minutemen recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Joshlyn Konen made a big impact no matter where she played. She pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off four hits. Konen was also big at the plate, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with one home run and two RBI. She is on a roll when it comes to home runs, as she's now launched at least one in each of the last four games she's played.

In other batting news, Jordyn Pracht was a standout: she got on base in all three of her plate appearances with one home run, two stolen bases, and two runs. She also brought in an RBI, marking her first of the season. Karsyn Simmons was another key player, going 1-for-2 with four stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.

Adams Central was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .438. They are 2-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Adams Central's victory bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Lexington, they dropped their record down to 0-5 with the defeat, which was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Adams Central will welcome Fairbury at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lexington, they will be taking part in a tournament against Highway 6 at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
