Basketball Recap: Mira Mesa Continues Home Dominance on Tuesday

Mira Mesa had won nine straight home games dating back to last season and Ivorii Seals did her part to make it ten on Tuesday. The Mira Mesa Marauders were the clear victor by a 45-21 margin over the Pacific Ridge Firebirds thanks in part to Seals, who went 9 of 15 on her way to 21 points and five steals. She has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last 11 times she's played.

The team also got some help courtesy of Ke'Ajanay Edwards, who posted two points. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in assists (two).

Mira Mesa has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 24.3 points. As for Pacific Ridge, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.

Mira Mesa didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 51-28 victory against Classical Academy on the 12th. As for Pacific Ridge, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Vista at 5:30 p.m.
