Baseball Game Preview: Rabun Gap-Nacoochee Eagles vs. Buford Wolves

The Rabun Gap-Nacoochee Eagles will head out on the road to square off against the Buford Wolves at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.

Rabun Gap-Nacoochee is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 11 runs on Thursday, they were much more limited against Covenant Day on Saturday. They fell just short of the Lions by a score of 2-1.

Meanwhile, Buford came tearing into Saturday's game with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11.5 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Indians a 10-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Wolves, who have now won eight contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Buford pushed their record up to 11-3 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.3 runs on average over those games. As for Rabun Gap-Nacoochee, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-6.
