Softball Recap: Heard County Takes Down Haralson County in a Playoff Battle

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Heard County walked away with it. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Haralson County Rebels a 5-0 shutout on Wednesday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Heard County's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-12. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.3 runs over those games. As for Haralson County, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 14-15 record this season.
