It was a good run, but McKinleyville unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Thursday. They took a 54-35 bruising from the Arcata Tigers. The Panthers were not able to make up for their defeat to the Tigers from their previous meeting back in February of 2024.

Tae Wolford continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Arcata, putting up 22 points. Wolford is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last six games she's played. Mae Wolford was another key player, earning nine points and four steals.

McKinleyville's loss dropped their record down to 15-6. As for Arcata, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Eureka the next time they take the court. Arcata will head out to face Eureka at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while McKinleyville will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on January 23rd.
