Basketball Recap: Ridgway Comes Up Short

Ridgway was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a hard 42-25 fall against the Coudersport Falcons. The Elker were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Falcons apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.

Coudersport got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Olivia Fink out in front who went 6 of 13 en route to 21 points and seven rebounds. Another player making a difference was Laura Dunn, who posted six points in addition to nine rebounds and four steals.

Ridgway's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Coudersport, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ridgway will host DuBois at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Coudersport, they will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against Port Allegany at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Port Allegany will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Coudersport surely won't give up without a fight.
