Soccer Game Preview: Le Grand vs. Mariposa County

Le Grand is 0-9-1 against Mariposa County since January of 2019 but things could change on Friday. The Le Grand Bulldogs will face off against the Mariposa County Grizzlies at 3:30 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

In Friday's Canine Competition, Le Grand didn't have enough. They came up short against Denair on Friday, falling 6-3. That's two games in a row now that the Bulldogs have lost by exactly three goals.

Annabel Ceja and Elisa Angel scored all three of Le Grand's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 13 goals.

Meanwhile, Mariposa County lost 6-1 to Denair on Tuesday. The Grizzlies have struggled against the Coyotes recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Mariposa County's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Le Grand, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-8.

Le Grand came up short against Mariposa County when the teams last played back in January of 2024, falling 3-1. Can Le Grand avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
