Recap: Riverview Raiders vs. Springdale Dynamos
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Aquinas Academy, the Riverview Raiders were happy to have found some success on Monday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Springdale 61-15 at home. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Riverview also won the last time the pair played back in February.
Riverview was led to victory by Lola Abraham and Katerina Tsambis. Abraham scored ten points along with six assists and four steals, while Tsambis scored 19 points. The game was Abraham's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Lily Bauer, who scored nine points along with five rebounds.
Riverview's win ended a three-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-1. As for Springdale, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
Riverview will look to defend their home court on Thursday against East Allegheny at 6:00 p.m. Springdale is on the road again on Thursday and play against Deer Lakes at 7:30 p.m. on December 14th. Deer Lakes is on a three-game streak of home losses, Springdale a four-game streak of away losses (dating back to last season), but someone's luck is about to change.
