Softball Recap: Monroe City Wins Going Away Against Community

Monroe City barely beat Community the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Panthers blew past the Trojans 16-5 on Tuesday. The game marked the Panthers' most dominant victory of the season so far.

Monroe City pushed their record up to 5-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.8 runs over those games. As for Community, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-11.

Coming up, Monroe City will be playing in front of their home fans against Canton at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Community, they will venture away from home to face off against Van-Far at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
