Soccer Game Preview: Mira Loma vs. Lincoln

The Mira Loma Matadors will head out on the road to face off against the Lincoln Fighting Zebras at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Mira Loma is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Oakmont just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Thursday. They lost 4-0 to the Vikings. Having soared to a lofty four goals in the game before, the Matadors' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Meanwhile, Lincoln waltzed into their contest on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. Their defense stepped up to hand the Cougars a 9-0 shutout. Considering the Fighting Zebras have won ten matches by more than two goals this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

They hit Center with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Alicia Osegueda (6), Kaylee Jensen (2), and Natalie Jensen.

Lincoln has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-2 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 66 goals over those nine contests. As for Mira Loma, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-6.

Mira Loma might still be hurting after the 5-1 loss they got from Lincoln in their previous meeting back in January. Can Mira Loma avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
