There's no place like home for Mountain Empire, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Borrego Springs Rams on Thursday as they made off with a 3-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Redhawks in their matchups with the Rams: they've now won five in a row.

Mountain Empire was especially dominant in the first set. The final score came out to 25-5, 25-16, 25-17.

Bibi Caceres paced Mountain Empire's offense, picking up nine kills. Caceres got some help from Josalin Shawcroft and her 21 assists. Hailey Johnson controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Mountain Empire's win bumped their record up to 11-6. As for Borrego Springs, they are on a 12-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-11.
