Football Game Preview: Kasson-Mantorville Komets vs. Byron Bears

The Kasson-Mantorville Komets will take on the Byron Bears on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Kasson-Mantorville comes in on three and Byron on nine.

Kasson-Mantorville is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 10-7 win over Stewartville. The ten-point effort marked the Komets' lowest-scoring matchup of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Meanwhile, while Byron put up plenty of points on Saturday, the same can't be said for Winona. The Bears claimed a resounding 40-0 victory over the Winhawks. Considering the Bears have won five games by more than 29 points this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Kasson-Mantorville's win bumped their record up to 8-1. As for Byron, their victory bumped their record up to 9-0.

Kasson-Mantorville ended up a good deal behind Byron in their previous matchup on October 3rd, losing 34-20. Can the Komets avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
