Basketball Game Preview: Harvest Community Warriors vs. Englewood Rams

The Harvest Community Warriors and the Englewood Rams will face off at 7:30 p.m. on Friday without much rest having both just played. Harvest Community is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53.4 points per game this season.

Harvest Community took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They walked away with a 76-63 victory over Parsons Christian Academy. The Warriors pushed the score to 59-37 by the end of the third, a deficit the Lions cut but never quite recovered from.

Adam Lawson continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, putting up 36 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Harvest Community's points. Another player making a difference was Ryan Pritchard, who posted eight points.

Meanwhile, Englewood didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Trinity Christian Academy on Thursday, but they still walked away with a 41-35 win.

Englewood's win came from a few key players Harvest Community will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Thomas Mitchell, who earned six points along with six steals and five assists. He has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last 13 times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Prennis Alston, who had six points in addition to five steals and three blocks.

Englewood's victory bumped their record up to 5-7. As for Harvest Community, the win got them back to even at 8-8.
