Meanwhile, Staley gave up the first runs on Tuesday, but they didn't let that get them down. They walked away with a 9-5 win over Lee's Summit West. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Falcons as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.
Henley VanGorp spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and two unearned) runs on five hits.

Claire Hanchette was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three RBI and one double.

Blue Springs beat Staley 6-1 in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wildcats since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
