The Blacklick Valley Vikings won the last time they faced the Rockwood Rockets, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Blacklick Valley enjoyed a cozy 47-30 victory over Rockwood. The win made it back-to-back wins for Blacklick Valley.
Kristin Szymusiak was the offensive standout of the game as she scored 15 points along with 7 steals and 6 rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Blacklick Valley's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tressa Fatula, who scored 9 points along with 7 steals and 5 rebounds.
Blacklick Valley's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Rockwood, their loss dropped their record down to 2-1.
Blacklick Valley will head out on the road to face off against North Star at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. North Star comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for Rockwood, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Fannett Metal at 6:00 p.m.
