Football Recap: Friday's Defeat Ends Ola's Winning Streak + How To Watch

If Ola was feeling good fresh off their 55-7 takedown of Union Grove last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Mustangs took a 19-14 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Stockbridge Tigers on Friday. The game was a 7-7 toss-up at halftime, but the Mustangs couldn't quite close it out.

When it comes to explaining why Ola lost, don't look at Caden Waye. Despite the final result, he rushed for 109 yards and one touchdown, and also picked up 57 receiving yards and one score. Waye was no stranger to the big play, cutting upfield on a catch that went for 53 yards.

Joshua Scott continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Stockbridge, throwing for 180 yards and a pair of TDs, while also rushing for 31 yards.

With the loss, Ola broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 5-2. As for Stockbridge, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season.

Ola and Stockbridge should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings. The Mustangs will challenge Woodland at 7:30 p.m. on Friday with a big rank advantage (52 vs. 236). Meanwhile, Stockbridge (ranked 70th) will meet Union Grove (ranked 323rd) at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
