The Nebraska Lutheran Knights will head out to challenge the Giltner Hornets at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Tuesday, Nebraska Lutheran came up short against Twin River and fell 46-38. The loss was the Knights' first of the season.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Rebecca Hueske, who posted 11 points along with eight rebounds and four steals. She has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last six times she's played. Samantha Hueske was another key player, putting up eight points and ten rebounds.
Even though they lost, Nebraska Lutheran smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 20 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've posted since back in December of 2023.
Meanwhile, Giltner was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost to Palmer at home by a 42-26 margin.
Nebraska Lutheran will have to keep a close watch on Peyton Schutt and Avery Reeson, a pair of players who had a big impact on Giltner's prior game. Schutt had six points along with seven rebounds and four steals, while Reeson posted 16 points and five boards. That was a full 61.5% of Giltner's points, marking the fourth time in a row she's put up more than a third of the team's points.
Having lost for the first time this season, Nebraska Lutheran fell to 2-1. As for Giltner, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Nebraska Lutheran has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 33.3 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Giltner struggles in that department as they've been averaging 31.2 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Everything came up roses for Nebraska Lutheran against Giltner in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, as the team secured a 41-12 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Nebraska Lutheran since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
