After flying high against Churchill last Friday, Madison came back down to earth. The Madison Mavericks came up short against the Reagan Rattlers on Tuesday, falling 3-0. The Mavericks haven't had much luck with the Rattlers recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
After all that action, the final score was 27-25, 25-16, 25-21.
Despite the loss, Madison had strong showings from Adrianna Lobo, who had ten digs and 20 assists, and Aubrey Lyssy, who had 11 kills, eight digs, and 12 assists. Lobo is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted ten or more in the last 13 games she's played dating back to last season.
Madison's defeat dropped their record down to 20-12. As for Reagan, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 18-11 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Madison will venture away from home to square off against Clark at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Clark will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something Madison surely won't give up without a fight. As for Reagan, they will head out to face off against LEE at 6:45 p.m. on Friday.
