Football Recap: Marshall Comes Up Short

Saturday just wasn't the day for Marshall's offense. They took a blow against the Brennan Bears on Saturday, falling 66-0. The Rams haven't had much luck with the Bears recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.

Cayden Glass had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 49 yards and three TDs, while also throwing for 106 yards and three touchdowns for Brennan. Those three rushing touchdowns gave Glass a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Micai Thompson, who rushed for 109 yards and one score on only ten carries.

Marshall's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Brennan, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-1.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Marshall is set to take on their familiar foe O'Connor at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Brennan will challenge rival Holmes at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
