Soccer Game Preview: Grinnell vs. South Tama County

The Grinnell Tigers will challenge the South Tama County Trojans at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Grinnell's last four games have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

On Tuesday, Grinnell sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over Solon.

Meanwhile, South Tama County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against Clear Creek-Amana, falling 4-0. That's two games in a row now that South Tama County have lost by exactly four goals.

Grinnell's win bumped their record up to 9-4-5. As for South Tama County, their loss dropped their record down to 1-16-1.

Grinnell took their victory against South Tama County in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 9-0 score. Will the Tigers repeat their success, or do the Trojans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
