Eastwood barely beat Franklin the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Troopers blew past the Cougars 3-0 on Tuesday. The Troopers have beaten the Cougars the last four times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Cougars has come to flipping the script.

Eastwood never let Franklin on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-20, 25-23.

Eastwood's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jovane Estebane, who had 21 assists and nine digs. Another player making a difference was Maya Gandara, who had 17 digs and two assists.

Eastwood's win bumped their record up to 25-6. As for Franklin, their loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 19-12.

Eastwood didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Pebble Hills on the 19th. As for Franklin, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Socorro on the 19th.
