Basketball Game Preview: Sage Hill Lightning vs. Fairmont Prep Huskies

Sage Hill is 1-7 against Fairmont Prep since December of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Saturday. The Sage Hill Lightning will face off against the Fairmont Prep Huskies. Sage Hill will be strutting in after a victory while Fairmont Prep will be coming in after a loss.

Sage Hill is headed into the game having just posted their biggest win since February 1, 2024 last Saturday. They breezed by Varsity Opponent to the tune of 62-18. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Lightning as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, Fairmont Prep came up short against Saint Francis on Saturday and fell 66-58.

Fairmont Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 9-5. As for Sage Hill, their win bumped their record up to 8-6.

Sage Hill strolled past Fairmont Prep when the teams last played back in January of 2022 by a score of 49-33. The rematch might be a little tougher for Sage Hill since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
