Baseball Recap: Noble Victorious

Noble let Portland stack four runs on them in the seventh inning on Thursday but luckily Noble prevailed anyway. The Knights came out on top against the Bulldogs by a score of 8-5. The game was the first time the Knights have beaten the Bulldogs on their field since April 30, 2022.

The team relied heavily on Travis Cole, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Chase Mills also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Noble now has a winning record of 7-6-1. As for Portland, they are on a 19-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-14.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Noble will face off against Kennebunk at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Rams have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.07 runs per game on average), something the Knights will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Portland, they will be playing at home against Scarborough at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
