Softball Recap: Grovetown's Victory on Monday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Grovetown waltzed into their match on Monday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They put the hurt on the South Gwinnett Comets with a sharp 13-1 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Warriors also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2024.

The team relied heavily on Alaura Cox, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Those three runs gave her a new career-high. Jada Fulbright was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

Grovetown's win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for South Gwinnett, their defeat was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-6.

Grovetown will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Comets: the pair will be back at it again later today.
